This section shows the photos taken with the Minolta MC / MD Rokkor lens on some DSLR CANON with APS-C sensor: EOS 300D (6.3 mp), 20D (8.2 mp) and latest 450D (12.2 mp).

Images are available in both format: RAW and JPG (always at full resolution). RAW files, of course, will report all data shooting (except the lens aperture shows separately) while for the JPG will reference only to the main data: time, lens aperture and iso setting. Will be shown from time to time optics MD / MC Rokkor used and, in some cases, the type of focus performed (infinite, hyperfocal, ...). For each lens will also be given a brief technical sheet and a summary comment that highlights the performance observed. A table of performance, obtained from personal assessments and so not using rigorous methods of calculating performance (i.e. MTF and the like), finally gives a general indication on usability and on the behaviour found in the reality practice, for every lens under test.

I have deliberately avoided making crop images because all the details are directly observable by the RAW files (for those who have not known: the RAW files is the "digital negative") and JPG (at full resolution). All images were shooting with the camera CANON EOS DSLR set in "M" (Manual) and in some cases in "AV" (Priority Aperture) mode.

Finally, the large RAW files and limited space on the servers make it difficult to insert images, for each lens under test, for each value of lens aperture. That is why some files could be gradually replaced (their RAW files / JPG will be marked with the words "Rimossa") by others with different values aperture set.

IMPORTANT: all image files can be downloaded in your computer for display only (the files are from 2 to 4 Mbytes large for JPG, as well 6-9 MBytes for RAW). Even though the images presented are intended purely demonstrative or without no value "artistic", is absolutely prohibited their use for any other form, in addition to that of view only cited above, not expressly authorized by the author.

Very good correction of aberrations without light falloff. Absent of distorsion. Great optical quality on the center of the frame wide open and when stopped down at all distance. A bit soft wide open on the corner of the frame. A complex with floating lens elements design. Great boken if used at f2.8 at minimal focusing distance. A bit prone to flare if hard light hits the frontal lens. Great mechanical costruction. A Minolta optical design shared with Leitz. A gem.
